Why has my plan changed? 
The relationship between Harvey Norman and Alinta Energy is ending. As a result, the Harvey Norman Energy product will no longer exist so we have moved you onto a comparable Alinta Energy product.
 
How does my new plan work?
Your new Alinta Energy plan works the same as your previous Harvey Norman Energy plan. You will continue to pay the same amount for your energy usage and you can still continue to pay your bill via your preferred payment method.
 
What do I need to do to take advantage of my new plan?
There’s nothing you need to do. Your new Alinta Energy plan will automatically take effect on 26 June 2017.
 
What happens to my direct debit?
Your current direct debit arrangement will not be affected in any way. The total amount of your Alinta Energy bill will be paid automatically from your nominated bank account or credit card. There’s nothing you need to do.
 
If you have signed up for monthly direct debit instalments, your payment will continue to be processed on your preferred day each month. If you are signed up for quarterly Direct Debit, then your payment will continue to be automatically processed on your energy bill due date.
 
I pay my account via credit card. How does this affect me?
You can continue to pay your account via credit card. To make a payment from your MasterCard, VISA or American Express card, visit www.alintaenergy.com.au or call 133 702.
 
Will there be any disruption to my supply?
No. There will not be any disruption to your supply as part of your plan transition. 


I am on life support, how does this affect me?
There will be no disruption to your electricity supply as part of your plan transition. Your life support details have been transferred across to Alinta Energy and there is no need for these to be re-established.
 
What happens to my solar arrangement?
There will be no changes to your solar arrangement as part of your plan transition.

What happens to my Anniversary Harvey Norman Gift Card?
Unfortunately as part of your plan transition the Harvey Norman Anniversary Gift Card will no longer be available.
 
What happens to my Power Credits?
As you know, Power Credits are quarterly credits applied to your electricity bill over one year. These credits will continue to be applied as scheduled regardless of the change from Harvey Norman Energy to Alinta Energy.
 
Please note moving forward we will not be running any new Power Credit promotions.
 
If I’m on hardship, does this arrangement continue?
Yes. There will be no changes to your current arrangement.
 
Will there be any price changes?
From time to time, a review of both the Harvey Norman Energy and Alinta Energy pricing structures is completed.
 
Any price changes that occur as part of your new Alinta Energy plan moving forward are consistent with the price changes that would have been applicable to your previous Harvey Norman Energy plan.
 
Does my benefit period change?
No, we are not restarting your benefit period as part of this change.
 
What happens to my Harvey Norman staff discount?
Rest easy. Quarterly credits over one year with the Harvey Norman Staff Offer will continue on your Alinta Energy bill.
 
Will customer service be able to talk about my previous HNE Bills?
Yes. We have a dedicated team of customer service representatives who are happy to discuss any questions you may have in relation to your previous HNE bills or plan.
 
Who do I contact if I have any further enquiries?
We have a dedicated team of customer service representatives who are happy to answer any questions or concerns you may have. Please call 133 702 between 8am – 7pm weekdays and 9am – 4pm on Saturdays.
 
What happens with outstanding invoices?
Outstanding invoices managed by the Harvey Norman Energy credit team, will continue with the same terms by the Alinta Energy credit team. If you have received these notices from the Harvey Norman Energy credit team, the activities will continue under the Alinta Energy credit team. Likewise any future notices will come from Alinta Energy.
